Air 2s Compatibility
I have a pretty basic question. I am currently using drone deploy with a mavic 2 pro in order to set a mission to capture photos at a precise angle, height, and pattern. Can I set up crosshatching, and boarder flight, capturing images across a crosshatched grid at -65 degrees and a 2 second interval using a DJI Air 2s?

Yes
Will the basic hobbyist plan work for this? I just need the automation and the final images. I’m processing somewhere else.
You need the elite hobbyist plan to get the mapping component.

And, to be clear, it can do all of the things you ask but you have to put it together.
For example, create a map, switch it to grid, change the gimbal angle.
Then add a path (or obit) that goes around the outside.
Then add another map, switch to grid and change to the other angle.
Then it is all in one plan and you can save that as a reusable component for future missions.
It looks to me like the premium hobbyist plan also has the mapping component. Am I wrong?
Terry Dunlap, yes you are correct, the Premium plan does have the mapping component, however it is only basic mapping (nadir photos, simple "lawnmower" pattern), if you want to do advanced mapping like shoot at oblique angles and use a grid pattern then you'd need to upgrade to Elite
Excellent, thanks for the additional info. I don't even know what many of those are so I obviously have a learning curve ahead.
Any questions just ask
@Martin can the speed be adjusted in a mapping mission my photos are coming out blurry and the max speed is 15 can I adjust to 10 or 5 mph ?.
Hi Victor, yeah just change it in the Map component settings.
Blurry photos could be caused by several other things as well, such as camera settings, height the mission is flown at etc, I fly most mapping missions i do at the default 285 feet, 20MPH, here is one of my orphophotos, this was flown with mini 2

Thanks Martin,I was doing mine at 160 feet high 15mph.camera angle -75
are you using manual or auto camera settings, I generally use auto for mapping missions, maybe try 10mph
Where is the camera settings or do I have to do them in dji fly ? That's a big chunk of mapping you did lol
Here you go Victor, camera settings explained https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/10094146578707-Flight-Dashboard-Camera-Settings-Menu-Storage-Focus-Spot-Meter-AE-Lock-Histogram

Cheers, there were 472 photos taken to produce that, it's a new estate that a friend has recently moved to, flown with a mini 2 it took 3 batteries and took about 43 minutes air time
Hey @Martin Thanks a lot Sir.👍🏽
Hello, I am using my Air 2S to map. I was going 20 mph at 200' to collect images but they look blurry. I upgraded to get high resolution setting but its not supported on the AIR 2S. What setting can i use to collect better images besides single?
Sky Skys. Check your other post.
