dronelink and RC-N1 DJI Mini 3

Matt

I am having a lot of trouble trying to install dronelink on the RC-N1 Remote Control.  Checked a lot of guides and places with no luck.

At this point I have the dronelink apk in the downloads folder on the micro SD card in the RC-N1.

I bought dronelink specifically to run on this RC-N1 screen, is this not possible?

I think you've got your controllers mixed up this is an RC-N1

🤦‍♂️ You would be correct. Ugh.. thank you for clearing up my idiocy.

Something threw me off here clearly believing it was the N1. Yes i have just an RC.

I have no idea how i made this error and thank you. I see alternate instructions that have a download link. Ill give this a try next. Yeah hopefully dronelink will work with an RC

Hi Matt, I'm sorry to say that if it is just an RC rather than an RC Pro then it is not supported, more details can be found on the following links

I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and help me out. As you can see I am very new to this.

Im wondering if dronelink will refund me for the software. Im disappointed because i used it for hours last night and made some routes and actions. All a waste of time.

All i am trying to do is get anything installed that allows me to set waypoints and altitude.. gimble direction..Ive quickly realized that the auto flight is much smoother and easier for me to get what I need  i really enjoyed their 3D flight pattern. I went over budget just to get this controller thinking it would be awesome and not tie up my phone .

Is there anything that will do this on an RC?

No sadly nothing will do that on that controller, due to the way dji have designed it, the only software you can use is their own.

You can follow the instructions in this FAQ to get a refund from Dronelink

Thank you again for your time.

And I appreciate the link. I figured i would be better off going this route and soending the extra money for the built in screen.

I guess the best bet would have been to buy the real Rc-N1 and use my phone or buy a separate android device.

The DJI mini 3 and remote RC i picked up for 450 on amazon prime day.

I was originally just going to go with the $320 version.

I can still return it all and am wondering if i should do so and go in a new direction.

I must have software of any kind to plot courses and so on.

Thanks so much you have been incredibly helpful and its appreciated

Personally I'd return it to amazon and then get a mini 3 with the RC-N1 and use your phone(assuming it's an android), and  treat yourself to an android tablet at a later date

Was that price for just the drone, one battery and controller or a complete Fly more Combo ? If it is a fly more combo then that is an extremely good price and you will be better off keeping it and purchasing a RC-N1 and use with one of your Android OS devices. This way you can use the app which you will find out is amazing. You can find the RC-N1 on eBay or elsewhere for anywhere from $75 at most for a new one or as low as about $40. Good luck. Enjoy.
