Completely lost

Colin Angus

Okay here we go, I have a mini 3 pro with RC-N1 controller. Never been able to run a sucessful mission except for one orbit. Dronelink will not connect to my drone anymore, Dronelink dji puts up a message for 283 required with a download button that does not explain where to get said 283. When I open mission planner and select a mission there is no start button. Seems like I am going to have to try map pilot pro. Any help would be much appreciated.

Which device are you using ? Check the first link to the other thread if it’s an Android device. Should be able to get it working well. As far as the connection issue you can click on “drone not connecting”in the DL app and it will take try directly to the second link. About 90% of the time it’s something in that list and usually due to the DJI Fly app not being properly force closed especially if using an Android OS device. It must be force closed not just swiped up with an an Android device. There is another link in the second link I’m sending which explains how to properly force close the DJI app. The drone cannot be connected to both apps at the same time. Force close DJI Fly app and make sure all of the permissions are granted as that can be an issue as well. DL has a ton of help articles and of course the search bar in the forum. I’m fairly confident once everything is set up correctly it will work as many others with the Mini 3’s aren’t reporting connection issues.

Thanks for the speedy response, have got it sorted now I hope. Deleted everything and downloaded apk from beta page. Had previously downloaded Play store. Play button is now visible and flew a test mission which it half completed, it was very windy so little wonder it had problems. Thanks for your help.

Colin Angus you have to download Dronelink DJI from Dronelink website as it isn't on play store

I realise that now, would help if instructions on joining beta didn't instruct you to go to play store.

It says if you are using a modern DJI drone you have to install the APK directly:

If you are using a modern DJI drone or your device does not support Google Play (e.g. DJI Remote Controllers with Screens), download and install the APK directly by clicking one of the links below from your mobile device.

You can thank DJI for creating this fun situation (MSDKv5 vs MSDKv4 backwards incompatibility).
