Connecting DJI Mini 3 Pro

Fabien Bourdon

Noobie question. Unable to connect DJI Mini 3 Pro with DJI RC-N1  controller and Android N200 phone. DJI Fly forced closed, app downloaded today's version to phone straight from Dronelink. Trying to Pair Remote controller with drone and press on drone for 5 seconds and nothing happens. Created flight path on Desktop and connects fine to phone, just not getting Dronelink to see the drone. Help appreciated. Thank you.

Pas de notion d´appairage avec dronelink. Si la télécommande est appairée avec le drone via dji fly, ça doit fonctionner avec dronelink.

Hi Jim McAndrew I followed those steps except maybe #5. I'm not clear on " How do I run a network connection with Dronelink." The desktop app shows that I have "No network" connecting it. Do you have a video that explains how to connect it?

In my network connections DJI shows up as an option. If I select it, it requires a network security key which I don't have. I do have connection from my laptop to the Android phone.

You should check the DL page for newest APK. I use IOS devices with my drones but the Beta version 4.7.1 (268) has been available for about a week. Not sure if it is the same for Android but I believe it is. Give it a try.

Fabien Bourdon. No network is something with your PC. If using a VPN or the firewall is blocking you should check those.

I do have network connectivity from my PC out to the world. The desktop app from Dronelink says I have No connectivity.

Il m'arrive aussi d’avoir le message "no network" de temps en temps sur la version desktop. Pour autant ça marche très bien, toutes les modifications sont sauvegardées.

    Patrick, tes orthophotos sont magnifiques.

Fabien Bourdon. Even if it’s indicating no network is it still working and are you able to create and save plans, run mission preview etc ? If it isn’t working with just the DL web app but all other websites are working then it is probably is a VPN or firewall setting which is blocking it. If using a VPN then remove it. If the firewall is preventing DL from connecting then add it or change the settings in the firewall section. DL has no control over your PC settings so I’d check those. Are you using a VPN ? Sounds like if it’s asking for a security key it may be a VPN.

Yes I'm able to run mission previews on the desktop and it copies automatically to the phone. No issue with the PC connecting to the Android, it's from the Android to the drone. Android phone connects to the drone and works fine with DJI FLY so not clear as to what the issue is.

I am guessing it is either 2.2 or 3.2 from the list I previously shared.

A bit confusing since you keep mentioning “desktop” app. That has nothing to do with the Native app to fly missions. As Jim stated, you need to check that link he gave you and make sure everything is done correctly. Did you join the Beta testing and download the “Dronelink DJI” app APK ? The Mini 3 is only usable with the RC-N1 controller with Android device and the correct Beta version so make sure the app is the “Dronelink DJI” app. (Not just Dronelink) There is a link in the section regarding the Mini 3 using RC-N1. If it’s all done correctly and still won’t connect then it is possible that device may not work. Do you have another device you can try ?

Lot of tutorials already available to clarify all those things.
Best is to take time watching some before running the apps.

Got it! Thank you all for your help. It was a permissions issue.
