The question I do have to ask is if I have the latest Firware. Firmware for the drone is: 02.04.1691 I did try to update it through the DJI fly app and got the same 'server error'.

I have also tried the DJI assist on a different computer--trying anything at this point. I disabled the firewall just to make sure that was not interfering. Seems to be a dead end. Amazing that ...
