The question I do have to ask is if I have the latest Firware. Firmware for the drone is: 02.04.1691 I did try to update it through the DJI fly app and got the same 'server error'.

Mike, the only app of DJI that is working for me is the DJI Fly app (version 1.5.10). Are you having luck with the DJI Go and DJI assist apps? I'm an Android user. Thanks very much.
