I saw Dronelink has an SDK, but I suppose it is meant only for enterprise users Correct, and if all you are looking for is telemetry it isn't necessary or any easier for that matter.

As I have stated previously, we are not completely closed off to the idea, but it is a large amount of effort and you are correct, we aren’t prioritizing it any time soon.
