Samsung S21 error message

Bob Scheffler

Flying the Mini with a Samsung S21.  I received an up date last week and ever since the update computer generated voice msgs. in regards to charging.  I have so far received 3 different msgs.  One when the phone is fully charged, Two: when the phone is moved on the wireless charger, it says intermittent charging, and the most annoying one is when I am flying my drone whether throught DJI or Dronelink.  Every 3 minutes or so, it says, "Your charger weaker device has problem in charging".  I just now found out that it also says this when I plug into my desktop computer.

Has anyone else out there experienced this issue?  If so has a work around been found?  I have contacted Samsun 3 times and got nowhere.

Hi Bob. I was fairly sure I read something about Android devices and charging automatically awhile ago. I’m sending a link to DJI forum which discusses it. Not sure why Android devices work this way but according to the discussion and even on other sites, it can not be turned off. Not sure why it didn’t do this before though. I read one suggestion which says to make sure the device is fully charged before using but that’s anyone guess if it works. Other suggestions out there but some are more work then I’d do. Maybe search the internet and see if you can find one which may work for you.

Mike, the remote may have been charging the phone before but I did not know it. It was the recent update that added the annoying voice telling me (every 3 minutes) that the charging device is not sufficient voltage. I will try charging my phone to 100% and see what that does. In the mean time Samsung has filed my request that the voice be disabled in the next update. If they put it in the last update they can certainly take it out. The rep. I spoke to said that I am the only complaint , so far, and if others complain it may unblock their ears. So...If anyone else is having this problem then please speak up.

I’m sure it’s annoying. 🤪. I don’t understand why they don’t give the user the option to turn it off. Seems like it would be easy to default to off and allow others to enable if wanted.

Bob, go into settings, search routines, they should bring up Bixby routines, click on the my routines tab and check you've got nothing in there

Bob, i think this is more a Samsung problem than Dronelink, so might be an idea to broach the question over here https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S21/bd-p/GalaxyS21 I've found solutions to a couple of problems via there

I know it's a Samsung thing that's why I called them 3 times. But I think I figured it out.

But I think I figured it out.

    So what was the solution?

Well I actually did not figure it out, my kid did and he was so fast in showing me (he did it in 1 minute) but I think this is it.  Go to "Settings", then "Display" and then "Show charging info" and click it off.  I hooked it up to the remote for at least ten minutes and I did not get the message.  I did not even look there because I never figured a sound issue would be under Display.  I wonder why 3 different Samsung technicians could not figure this out????

That is indeed a strange one, glad to hear that you are sorted and no longer have that nagging voice
