Video transmission issues on Pixel 6a and Mini 2

dronelinkuser46824062894

Hello,

The live video feed does not work on my Pixel 6a and DJI Mini 2. I am able to connect my drone to the app and all other functions seem to work correctly.

The app functions perfectly on my Pixel 4a.

Here is a list of tested configurations :
Device    Android Ver.  Working?
Pixel 4a  12                  Yes
Pixel 4a  13                  Yes
Pixel 6a  13                  No video

On the 6a a frame of the video will show up if you switch between photo or video mode but it simply freezes on that frame.

Tested on a Pixel 6, Air 2S and could not reproduce. Do you have another Android 13 device you can try? Will try to track down our Mini 2 for testing on our side.

Thank you for looking into this. I do not have any other devices capable of running android 13 unfortunately.

    I got the same problem.

Pixel 6a with Android 13, missions run fine but the feed only updates every 10-15 seconds. If its a Photo mapping mission it updates when a picture is taken. Map works in realtime.

Thanks Jim, I see that there is a new update 4.7.0 released 7.20, and DJI released MSDK 7.18, can you confirm if this has the fix?

can you confirm if this has the fix?

It does not. DJI has said the fix will come in the next version of the MSDKv4 on Android, which has not been updated since 4.16.4 on 11/11/22): https://developer.dji.com/document/122b5969-d64d-4752-8452-400c41240aa5

It looks like DJI has a new MSDK version 5.5.0 released 07/18 https://developer.dji.com/doc/mobile-sdk-tutorial/en/

Right, this is a MSDKv4 drone so MSDKv5 and that release schedule does not apply.

Same issue. Mini SE. Pixel6a BUT ALSO no video transmission with ipad4.
BOTH Used to work but changed with in the last year. I down rev'd the controller, cannot down rev drone, fly app. Or phone.

Love the drone link app, I'm using it recreationally but no longer.

Any hope? Suggestions? Alternate video pipeline? Is it pixel or the mini SE?

Add.. I have been allowing app, and drone software/firmware to update in the past. I believe the change happened with the addition of mini3 support.

Down rev'ing controller did not change the no /intermittent video transmission issue.

Djifly and litchi apps work properly.

The Mini SE uses a completely different DL app then the Mini 3. You said you downgraded the controller but not the drone. You should never do this as the drone and controller should always be using the most current firmware. So I would first use DJI assistant PC software and update or refresh both. Then delete the DL App and reinstall from the link I’m providing. As far as your devices, the iPad 4 is an extremely old device and more then likely not work well if at all. The Pixel 6a may be an issue as well particularly with the live feed but I’d update the firmware first before anything else. Once done make sure you have download the correct DL app as in the download page. Once that is all completed then let someone know of still an issue. Until then we won’t know exactly what the issue may be. Also, when was the last time you used DL ? The newer Modern UI dashboard was implemented about a year ago. Please go through the firmware first and then try after downloading the app again. Also follow the second links instructions and make sure you have granted all permissions and have actually forced closed the DJI app as explained in the link.

    I have a google pixel 6a with android 14.

video doesn't work with Mini 2, doesn't work with Air 2.

DJI Fly updated to date, the firmware of the drones and radio controls have also been updated.

all permissions granted, including on the battery.

Hi, until yesterday I had the one downloaded from Google Play, today I also tried the BETA found on the other topic.

It works with Huawei tab 8.
