coordinate request
Greetings, this is a request when designing a mission on the Web, that the coordinates appear as shown in the image, I think it is a very useful option.

Just for info if you didn’t know. You can check the coordinates at various locations in the plan. It will depend on which Waypoint, checkpoint, POI etc….
in creating mapping missions and even if I have it in a waypoint I would like it to appear on the screen, this is done by the competition.
Ok. Just some info. Good luck….
Hi this conversation was a couple of years ago, wondering if there is an update.
I would like to determine the GPS coordinates of a selected launch point, so that I can transfer it to another device so that when in the field I know where to launch from.
Thanks,
Hi Rex. If there was an update then it would be here. Not sure what you mean by transferring to another device. All plans in your account are the same regardless of what device you are using. Also It doesn’t matter where you launch from as the reference pin is just that, a reference. You can launch anywhere near the first mission destination and it will start and fly.
Hi Mike, thanks.
If I could determine them from DL web, I would copy the coords to a handheld device to get me close to the chosen launch point. But you're right as long as the path is clear I would expect the drone to fly to the start point. Other web based apps can show you the coords of the cursor, so I just expect DL to be able to do the same.
If you put the mission planner into Expert or Dev mode you can click on many of the elements in the mission plan and see the actual coordinates, or you can export to Google Earth and see the coordinates as well.
If you do want the actual purple reference pin location one way is to temporarily place a waypoint on top of the reference pin. Then you will have the coordinates and can copy them to the clipboard or write them down and then put into a GPS device. This may not be what the feature request is about but if it its important you can get the location. As Jim stated, you must be in Expert or Dev mission planner mode to see those waypoints coordinates. Good luck.
Thanks Jim, I see I can get the coords of many things with the launch point excepted.
How does one export to Google Earth? The only export I've been able to find is the '*.dronelink' format which doesn't seem to be recognized by GE.
Ah thanks Mike, cool hack!
to export to google earth, go to the mission preview screen and there's a button in there to export to GE
Rex. The DL app does take time to learn many of the functions and features and how to utilize them. There are a lot of help articles and when you click on support in the DL home page it will take you to the first link I’m providing. I’d suggest bookmarking either one of these or both. As always either another pilot or a DL staff member can assist with more an advanced questions or help with a plan setup if you can’t find the answer after searching this forum or in the help articles. DL has incredible support even for Hobbyists. Also sending the article on how to export to GE as Martin provided. Enjoy.

Martin and Mike,
Thank you for your patience and guidance - your input helps a LOT.
I am amazed at not only the power of this software, but the community support. Very cool.
As Teal’c would say, Indeed… Lol. If anyone gets that.
