Mini 2 image not working, with a image transmission weak error.
Hi all,
I have just purchased this software and to be honest very disappointed, so far I'm £44 and the app is unusable. The live feed doesn't work and I have the "Image transmission weak" error. My concern is why isn't this listed as a known fault and advertised as such. Then if it's not being fixed where can I receive a refund? I have used Lichi and DJI fly with no issues at all. I wanted to use dronelink as I'm impressed with the features offered but i just can't use it.
Thanks
Anthony

Sorry to hear that you are having a bad experience. Have you tried all the steps listed in this article?
Yes all steps tried.
This is a long-standing, bogus error message from the DJI UX SDK, which we are moving away from in the latest beta (v4). The beta is open if you want to see if it fixes both issues for you.
What is your mobile device? Do you have an alternate device you can try it on to isolate the issue?
Hi, I am using a Samsung s22 ultra. I'd gladly use the beta version if it helps. Like I say I really want to use this software. i don't have any other devices yet, i was planning on buying a tablet but wanted to try Dronelink first as it was going to be my main interface with the Mini 2
Thanks Anthony
I installed the beta, version 4.0. Still exactly the same issue with the live feed. Image Transmission Weak has disappeared but the app is still unusable. I tried DJI fly after and it all worked fine. Sadly to say Litchi is working fine too.
Can you send a screenshot of your flight dashboard? And for my sanity, confirm that you force terminated DJI Fly and Litchi in the background.

The feed appears to be working in those screenshots. Is it just a solid image or choppy or something else?
it's a choppy feed, updates every 2-5 seconds. the drone was landed when I screenshot the second photo, yet it shows it still in the air.

You can try switching to the classic dashboard (app main menu settings) but I doubt it will solve the issue as the previous version used the classic dashboard by default and you said you were already seeing the issue before the beta. I am not getting a choppy feed on a multitude of our test devices, some modern like the Pixel 6 and some ancient like the Samsung S7. Beyond trying it on another device to see if there is something specific to your S22 (I know many other users that use this device to great success), not sure what else to try. If you are ready to throw in the towel: refund request.
I'll grab my daughter's s20+ and give it a try to see if it works ok on that, and update I'd sooner not do a refund as like I say want it to work. Thanks for all your help today tho. really appreciate it.
OK, update, Live feed works fine on the s20+ but I got error code 147, contact DJI support so still can't fly it. I'll leave the refund and see what's going on with my phone and just keep an eye on updates. Maybe I'll get the tablet and see if that's any better. Thanks for your help and advice
Is your S22 on a different version of Android?
Both on version 12, different kernel versions but I guess that's right as different phones. i just uninstalled and reinstalled see if that makes a difference.
Just a thought about the DJI error code. I”d use DJI Assistant 2 PC software for the Mini 2 and check to make sure it’s current. If it is I’d still refresh both drone and controller. Then calibrate the IMU and Compass. I’ve seen many pilots go through everything and it solves their issue. Some don’t like updating but the drone should always be the latest firmware. Maybe it will help with that DJI error. If not it doesn’t hurt to make sure and go through it all.
Forgot to mention the DJI Fly app should be up to date also before calibrating everything. DJI updates the app and only indicates they fixed some bugs and issues. Sometimes The DJI app needs to be matched for the firmware being used. A lot of others using DL with the Mini 2 without issues. Good luck, hope it works for you.
Thanks for the comment, I didn't know anything about DJI assistant so will get on that today. Thanks for your help. I can't wait for DL to work properly so many missions planned :).
Have a great day and i appreciate the community here :)
Flying the mini 2 with Dronelink is great fun
Hello Anthony,
I have the same problem i used my s22 ultra and air2 and had exactly the same issue.
I believe the phone could be a part of the problem, i bought this software specific for facade and it would be great to use a verry bright screen in the field like that from the s22 ultra.
i am verry sure they will solve this problem and i would advice to pe patient .
Also on my smart controller i have issues but i am sure next update will solve a lot.
I already love the possibility for creating a mapping project you can test it (fly) on youre pc using mission preview and the 3d planner works really good
Hi, georges,
Yeah, I'm going to wait, I think what Dronelink has to offer as a third party far outweighs getting a refund. Before all this post started I was a bit annoyed as I spent a fair bit of money, but now seeing the community and support that is offered I feel that's worth the money I've spent already so willing to wait. I'm sure it's something with the phone compatibility too, as I tried my daughter's s20+ and it worked ok. If I can't get it to work with my phone then I'll look at getting the tablet as I mentioned. I look forward to using Dronelink once i can :)
Thank you and have a great day :)
