Gimble pitch - On the fly missions

Kevin M
Hello, I am just trying to program only fly dronies and follow mes. The gimble pitch always points itself downward after I start the mission. If I try to adjust it during the mission it automatically goes back down. Can someone help me with the issue? Thanks!

Which drone, device and Dronelink version ?

It’s been a couple days so I’ll try to help. First make sure your using the latest version of Dronelink which for IOS is version 3.4.1 in the App Store. If an Android OS device maybe try the link I’m sending and download the correct APK for your device and install that way. Also make sure the drones firmware is the most recent version. There were some gimbals issues which were fixed not long ago. Best way is to use a PC and the DJI assistant software for your drone. You can download the software directly from the DJI website. Even if the firmware listed shows current I’d refresh on both controller and drone. It won’t hurt and will ensure everything is installed correctly. I always calibrate the IMU and compass after firmware updates or even a firmware refresh. Once you have all the current software and firmware installed try again. Can’t hurt to go through everything and see if it works correctly. Hope this helps.

The gimble pitch always points itself downward

Follow and Dronie are both programmed to automatically adjust the gimbal tilt to keep the subject in view.

If I try to adjust it during the mission it automatically goes back down

There is no way to override this behavior in Dronie, but in Follow if you enable stick input, it will listen to changes on the RC gimbal wheel and adjust the altitude offset of the subject.

Hi, I have programed a map to fly my Air 2 s over a property taking pictures with the gimbal set to 75 deg. After initializing the drone and mission it flies to the start of the mission but stops in place with the error Gimbal oriantation failed. Even after multiple restarts and even creating new missions to do the same, I keep on getting this error. My Dronelink app is updated to the latest version. I have tried it on my Samsung s22 and my Samsung S7 FE tablet.

You need to put it in a public repo

That could well be the root of the problem

I updated the Drone to the latest firmware and that seem to have fixed my problem. Unfortunately the Drone Hack has been removed.

What's more important, being able to create your map, or lifting the restriction that you needed the hack for (which was what, out of interest)
