App doesn't open directly when connecting usb

Martin Reading Dronelink Expert Dronelink Expert

Ok this is only a minor annoyance, but when i connect usb and then select Dronelink from the options and hit "only once" nothing happens till i go and hit the Dronelink shortcut in my app draw (check out screen recording), all the other apps (DJI fly, Litchi & Rainbow Pro) open fine.

The screen recording is on my LG V50 (Android 11) but it also happens on Galaxy Tab 7FE (Android 12), everything up to date

It happens to me sometimes,  but not everytime. It depends if I opened Dji Fly previously or not.

To be frank I do not know the correct procedure (app first vs drone first,  etc etc), and where It is described.

Hopefully I manage to connect and fly everytime.

Jim McAndrew, tried several times, and no it doesn't auto open with always selected, even though it is setting it as the default device, as i had to clear it to check that DJI fly would open ok if set to always, which it did

Seems to work for me (if I select always) - Pixel 6 / Android 12.

Sounds like you didn't get the new APK installed. You may have to delete the app first before trying to install the update, especially if you originally had it installed from Google Play.

Yes I've noticed since using beta mine does the same. No longer automatically associates USB with dronelink

Completely uninstall the app, then when 209 comes out (uploading now), install from Google Play and let me know if it works.

All good with 209, both on clean install, and update from 208 via google play store
