Able to generate flight plan NOT able to connect Air 2s drone to IOS device to fly the plan
I am not able to get my iPad or iPhone to talk to the drone using dronelink. There are no instructions for exactly what I'm expected to do. I have an Air 2s with smart controller.
1. Everything I've read does not tell me what needs to be running at the time of startup. Do I need the controller up and connected to the drone? Do I not want to have the controller running?
2. Are there settings on my iPhone or iPad that are tripping me up?
3. I bought the elite version because the user interface for mission planning is awesome. I would just like to be able to use the drone to complete the missions I've laid out.
Thanks,
-John

Do you have Dronelink installed on the smart controller
I don't know how to do that. The instructions were fairly opaque to me. If you have a step by step procedure that would be great.
Thanks,

I found this older video useful for understanding how to load apps onto the smart controller:

And of course you need all THREE downloads for this to work. It is loaded now and I'm testing. So far so good.
Smart Controller
I'm excited to fly some missions!

Yes, the SC controller and drone need to be started and connected as usual. The SC is old Android tech and will work however, it is doesn’t work as well as an IOS device with DL app. Do the same startup procedure you would do with your drone normally. Do you have the DL app installed on the SC ? There is a way to install the APK for DL app as stated in their help pages below. Make sure you grant all permissions when installing the app. You only use either the IOS device with the standard controller or the SC. There is a lot of help and tutorials available. Hopefully this helps.
