Sent a Mission Link I Created to Friends Who Are Not Subscribed to DL Plan...They Can't Open & Run Mission

I'm trying to convince two friends I fly with to buy at least the $24.95 basic DL plan. I sent them a plan I modified from a template. The mission was near their homes to personalize it. I did send them a great Std DL video on how it works. But they are hands on kind of guys...marketing be d%mned. I wanted them to be able to play with the plan I sent them.

Logically, it would make sense that they can't open and run the mission link I sent them in an email without at least the buying $24.95 basic plan. But, I want to make sure that's the logic and not some mistake I made in sending them a link to my mission plan.

No that's the logic, DL links can only be used by folk who have paid for DL, don't forget if they purchase a hobbyist plan and don't like it, they can get a refund in  the first 30 days as explained in this FAQ

If you put it in a public repository they can view it but when they try to make changes it will ask them to create an account.

Da...I figured this out last night and just rushed into my office to answer my own question before I looked like a complete idiot. You both were very charitable in your responses. I will nominate both of you to an ambassadorship to some country to be named later.

I gave them both 'contributor' privileges. How could they 'contribute' without having at least the basic account?

I will now quietly slink away with my tail between my legs...
