Confetti Performance Test Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE 5G - 8GB RAM
Hello Dronelink Support,
I recorded the Confetti Performance Test on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE 5G. The animation takes approximately 4.1 seconds, compared to 2.3 seconds in your example video and 6 seconds for the iPhone 6.
Is the Galaxy Tab S10 FE 5G fast enough to run Dronelink reliably, or would you recommend upgrading to the Galaxy Tab S11 5G?

Was the confetti smooth the whole way through, or choppy / slow motion at any point? If it's smooth, the S10 FE should be fine. If it stutters, go with the S11.
Can you elaborate on this? Is the 6 second Ipad 6 example in your video smooth the whole way through, or choppy / slow motion at any point? When is it too slow?
I run it without any problems on my Galaxy Tab S10 FE G5, which was an upgrade from a 9,which in turn was an upgrade from a 7
The amount of time for the confetti to start and finish is not that important. Smaller devices like Phones vs. iPads/ tablets with larger screens may take a second longer. As long as the confetti runs smooth whether it’s 2 seconds vs. 4 seconds should not matter. Another way to test the device is to create a mapping plan at about 40 acres in the Web app. Then open the Dronelink mobile app and load that mapping plan and see if it loads fairly quick. If so then should be good. If it just spins for a long time or doesn’t ever load the mission then you will know if it’s powerful enough. You don’t need to be connect to the drone to test this. Enjoy.
OK, that sounds good.
The confetti performance test takes approximately 4.1 seconds on my DJI Air 2S and 4.6 seconds on my DJI Mini 3 Pro.
I recently bought the S10 FE specifically for DroneLink missions, and I just wanted to make sure everything was working as expected before the return period expires.
My last comment was in response to the following earlier post:

Thank you! Based on these test results and loading times, would you consider the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE fast enough for practical use?
DJI Mini 3 Pro – Map Grid, 75% Front/Side Overlap
Area Altitude Flight time Photos Load time
55 acres 87 m 43 min 632 6.9 sec
55 acres 40 m 1h 55 min 2,965 12.6 sec
110 acres 87 m 1h 14 min 1,250 10.8 sec
110 acres 40 m 3h 38 min 5,858 21.4 sec
Only thing you can do is load it and fly. There are way too many variables like, environment, wind, size of mapping mission, Normal pattern vs. Grid pattern and if your’e using ATL or Terrain Follow (AGL). If it’s a large map like the 100 acres plus and a grid pattern then the devices performance can be an issue. Testing is the only way to know. Smaller maps like 5 to 10 acres run easier than larger maps especially if like the above mentioned size and pattern.

1) I received a disclaimer warning for the 110-acre test. Do you have any recommendations regarding the size of the area, the number of photos, or anything else that might help avoid problems?
2) During my first small mapping mission (4.20 acres), the live video feed freezes for approximately 0.5–1 second every time a photo is captured. The live video feed then resumes and shows the drone's current position. (meaning the live video feed during that interval is lost.)
Could this be related to the Samsung Tab S10 FE, or is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?
(Tested with Dronelink 5.4.0, DJI RC-N1 / Samsung Tab S10 FE (Android 16), JPG, JPG+RAW, Mini 3 Pro and Air 2S)
Just capture in jpeg, and make sure you're using a decent quality SD card, by using jpeg+raw, you're taking 2 photos at each point

It’s the same brief freeze/jump, even when capture in jpeg only. I use a SanDisk Extreme with the Mini 3 Pro and a SanDisk Extreme Pro with the Air 2S.
I run San disk Extreme, in my mini2, with no such problems
Do You use RC-N1 and Tab S10 FE 8 GB RAM (Android 16)?
Yes, to all the above, I can also run it on my Z fold 7,and my tab 9 fe
Does the difference depend on the Mini 2 ?
Is it expected for the live video feed to freeze for 0.5–1 second every time a photo is taken, regardless of the device being used?
I found this discussion: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/26272710908819-Can't-finish-successfully-winding-waypoint-mission-while-taking-photos-continuously-on-Mini-3?page=1
Yes, this is behavior built-in to the camera that Dronelink has no control over.
