Need help to connect DJI Mini 2 to Dronelink

Tom Knight

Hi, greetings from Germany. One and a half year ago I took some flights with my Mavic Mini and Dronelink. Then I bought a Mini 2 and flights with waypoints don't worked anymore. Now the SDK for Mini 2 is out at last - but I don't know what to do. The Dronelink App finds the Mini 2, I can start the Drone and fly manually with this App, but that's all. Unfortunataly I can't remember how to install the SDK. Can you help me please?

Mini 2 is only supported in beta.  Since DJI only released the SDK on Android so far, Dronelink has a beta version that can work with Mini 2.  IOS sounds like DJI may be taking their time.

Oh and you don't have to install any SDK.  Just install the beta version of Dronelink.  Dronelink is the app using the SDK.

Yes, Dronelink did the heaving lifting for us.  : )

We just have to run the beta!

    Greetings to Germany from Arizona!

Mini 2 connection problem here too...

I also have used a paid Dronelink plan with the Mavic Mini, just to find out that my upgrade (Mini 2) wasn't supported yet. Very happy today when I found out DJI released the SDK and that I should be able to use Dronelink with my Mini 2 now, running the Beta version.

However, for some reason I get a 'Location unavailable' error, and the drone doesn't seem to be connected.

The app has all requested permissions, but still nothing.

Bummer, after waiting for more than a year :-(

Are you sure you have 3.2.0 installed?

Jim where in the Android App and in the Windows App I can see the version number?

Tom, open the app, select the hamburger menu at the top right and scroll down.

Below the 'Unit System' you find the Version number.

Though I downloaded and installed the update earlier today it still says 'Version 3.1.0 (2181).

When I open the app and select 'Tap here to update', I go to Google Play, where I have two options:  'Remove' and 'Open'

I tried to update again, but after installing the APK I still have the same version.

    Let's dig :-)

    Got it!

    Updating the app didn't work.

Deleted it (including all cache, data and random stuff) and installed again.

Since it is way past sunset now I can't test, but I got a connection and camera view.

What's left is a continuous warning that the image transmission is weak...
