gimbal orientation failed

Bob Scheffler

I am flying the mini with Samsung S21.  While performing a mission (which I have flown before) I receive this error msg.

Is this a Dronelink error msg. or a DJI error msg.?  What does "you may need to reorder/remove this".  I have tried several times restarting the drone but nothing works.

This error means the DJI SDK returned an error when Dronelink tried to command the gimbal. Can you post a link to your mission plan?

I think I got the post right, never did it before.  But if this is a problem for DJI should I be bothering you with it?  I am already dealing with DJI on a Dronelink mission in which the drone issued an autolanding as if I had run out of battery but it was at 90%. It almost landed on the heads of outdoor diners. I was performing an Orbit when all of a sudden I got the fast beeping sound of an autolanding and it just started to drop. Many people in the DJI forum said that I was mistaken, that it can't happen, but I have the flight record to prove it did.

Just found that this mission did the same thing as the other and I was watching the screen when it was flying and going up and down erratically.

Your mission plan is attempting to issue gimbal commands on channels 0, 1, and 3:

You should remove the channel 1 and 3 commands because your Mavic Mini only has one gimbal.

I did not even know what the channel meant. I thought it was like a channel on a radio. You were right though once I removed them the mission flew fine. Thanks Jim

The error you are getting is actually:

    Gimbal Unavailable

Are you on the latest firmware? If so, it sounds like there is a hardware issue with your drone.

Assuming you are on the latest firmware, you probably need to check your hardware and / or do gimbal calibration.

It is unlikely to be your problem if you didnt change the channel in the first place, which requires expert mode:

Are you on the latest firmware?
