Question is a bit unclear. Connecting the controller to the device is the same as usual. There is no difference when using any app.

There is no difference when using DL app. Just power up the controller and drone as usual and open the DL mobile app. If the drone is not connecting to the app then more then likely you need to fully force close the DJI app. You can only have one app open and connected at a time.

You need a proper cable a normal USB C to USB C wont do, and the correct cable needs connecting the right way round, if you need a new cable then either of these will do the job
