Connecting DJI42S

David Glasofer

I have a DJI 42S and use 10" iPad (5th Gen). I want to use waypoints on the fly. After I open Dronelink and force close DJI Fly,

the the "DJI 42S" in the upper right corner doesn't turn green, but remains orange. Very frustrating! What am I doing wrong?

Orange usually means it is connected but there is a a warning. It could just mean that you're in a zone with an altitude restriction.

Something to be aware of is that iPad is old so even if it does work you may have performance issues. Check the link I’m sending for the DL article on system requirements. When you click on the Air 2S Red dashboard button in top right corner what do you see ? Does it have live feed ? If the live feed isn’t working try unplugging the cable from the iPad and plugging back in. Since it shows your aircraft it is connected so it is possible it’s the live feed

After I open Dronelink and force close DJI Fly

Force close DJI fly before opening Dronelink, even better don't open DJI fly in the first place

The DJI Fly app opens automatically when the controller is powered on when using a IOS device. It doesn't have the option to chose as an Android device. I’ve never had any issue as I always check many of the settings in the Fly app first and wait for satellites then close it and then open DL.

David Glasofer. What does the message say when you go into the dashboard ? I think as Barry mentioned it’s a warning of some kind possibly an error message or even not enough satellites. Open the dashboard and check.

Good point that Mike (Arizona Wyldwest), I'd completely forgotten that

LINEAR MAP WITH DJI AIR 2S BLURRY PHOTOS
I have the starter plan, when I generate the linear map plan it lets me configure it but when I execute it THE PHOTOS ARE BLURRY, I want to know if it is an error in the application, the speed setting of the plan is 10 km/h which is a low speed.
