Professional Plans Month to Month
Are professional plans available on a month-to-month basis? I have a Hobbyist account but would like to try the terrain follow feature.

You can try the starter to see if it’s something you will use. Any of the professional plans can be cancelled and I believe you can reactivate it or renew it. These links should help.
