The Mini 3, like most of DJI's new drones, does not support onboard waypoints, so if it loses connection, Dronelink is unable to continue sending virtual stick commands to the drone. If this is an issue for you in the areas you fly in, you need to purchase a drone that is capable of onboard waypoints: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036830194-What-happens-if-the-drone-loses-connection-
The beta app crashing is well documented in this thread: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/16409496589331/comments/16410305783571
Assuming you are trying to do 48mp mapping, please look at this thread: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/18791555765651-DJI-Mini-3-pro-48-mp
When the drone loses connection, it is a hardware issue between the remote controller and the drone and Dronelink has no control over this behavior. This assumes that you have properly terminated DJI Fly in the background as discussed here in 3.2: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052025194-Why-is-Dronelink-unable-to-connect-to-my-drone-
