4.7.0 (263) Telemetry unavailable, mini 3 pro

Svato
I just downloaded 4.7.0 and I see error message "Telemetry unavailable". I see no informations from Mini 3 pro, no video. RC-N1 is connected to the drone, I can start propellers. When I downgraded to 4.6.0 it is working. I tested Samsung S21 and Huawei P20 Pro .

Same Issue here on Samsung S 10 Plus -

I'm wondering if we can have access to the previous APK versions for download in the event we run into similar issues?

    I need Version 260 please.

Terry: It’s still Beta so you can downgrade back to any previous version which may have worked. Just go into the TestFlight app and select which one worked  for you.

    Svato and Aron:

This link provides some information on what devices won’t work and which may not. It’s a DJI issue with Android OS devices and they have been working on fixing it. It’s anyone’s guess if they will work in the future or not. Once it’s updated only then will they know if the problems are corrected and if other devices will work properly. Maybe this info will help. Good luck.

S21 and S22 in the link.

Mike: I'm a little bit confused about the TestFight App - When I go here:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HZBfJI3E05-YuHYqCfURtLu9XkIKUuc8/view

I download the App but its the latest version of; 4.7.0 (263) - so were do I go to get the earlier version 4.6.0 (260)?

    Thank you

I don’t use Android but I believe the equivalent to Apples Beta TestFlight app is Google Play Console. Maybe someone else can help when using Android OS devices. If it’s correct then there should be a section under previous versions and builds. I can go back several versions or builds with the Apple TestFlight app. If it’s not the same with Android devices then not sure how. Maybe check to see if you have that Google app or whatever Beta test app your using. Also the build (260) is with 4.7.0, not version 4.6.0.

Thanks Mike: Fortunately I was able to locate Ver 4.6.0 (259) on my computer which I thought I had deleted -  I will use that until a more stable App comes into play -

But how can you be a dronelink expert if you don't use android in addition to IOS? And stop always referring to written and self-readable links on the site. The problem is that you released a 263 update that doesn't work, remove it and let 260 download without too many fuss

Due to this very Monday morning, build 263 doesn't support live video feed or telemetry on my Android 12/13 Xiaomi devices - that previously worked on build 260.

However with Android 10 on Huawei P20 it's unaffected and works as advertised..

Unfortunately the Dronelink Beta app repository doesn't allow me to get hold of previous versions of the APK.

Roberto Lombardi Geologo, the Dronelink-DJI app is a beta program, therefore things may break on different releases, it's part of being involved in a beta program, and that is explained on the download page, if you want to go back to a previous version, uninstall the existing version, and check your download folder I your phone for the previous installer, the likes of myself and others who've got Dronelink expert under our names on here are just normal users, who've been using Dronelink for a time and regularly help our folk on here, it's just part of the grading system for the forum, like all forums have

Unfortunately that isn't accurate though since the download procedure from DL Beta page initiates at least on all my Android devices the APK installer mechanism directly, not allowing storage of the APK file itself. Hence my lack of previous Beta builds.

I have been using dronelink for a while on other drones in the classic version. The mini 3 pro is comfortable in areas close to urban areas for obvious reasons, but that's not the point, I mean, isn't it quicker to admit that the update doesn't connect to the drone and re-download the 260 version? It's one thing a crash while flying is another if it doesn't connect to the drone at all. For RC-PRO it is no longer in beta so the bulk is done. Now it's just a matter of making it more stable.

Mats Hägglund, open up a file explorer on your Android device and go to downloads, there you'll find all the various different versions, see my screenshot below

Believe me, I'm an avid Android user though. The APK installer mechanism doesn't download the whole APK file locally before installing. It's saved in internal memory not leaving the APK file in the Android file system.

As far as Samsung S21. I tested this version also on Huawei P20 Pro. Result was the same.

    A few comments:

    1. As Martin stated, the beta is for people who are looking to test and provide feedback, so running older versions of the beta isn't really useful for that.
    2. Some platforms make rolling back to previous versions easy (iOS / TestFlight), whereas direct APK download and Google Play (Android) make this difficult (have to save your own copies after downloading) or impossible respectively. Having said that, given point #1, rolling back to previous versions isn't really helpful to us (the developers) unless we specifically request that you successively roll back version to version to identify when a particular issue started happening (rare instances).
    3. Normally new drone support is in beta for one named version, but in the case of the DJI Mini 3, we had to stagger the rollout due to inconsistencies with the DJI SDK, and the fact that we had other features and other platforms that needed to have releases. Because of this, the "Mini 3 beta" functionality actually also currently exists on the "production" version of the app that can be downloaded from dronelink.com/download - it sounds like you may want to consider just running this version to avoid the head-aches of dealing with beta issues.
    4. In this particular case, the wrong APK was uploaded for Dronelink DJI (263), and we have since replaced it with the correct one. If you want to stay on the beta and not install the production version linked above, then please just try re-downloading and installing 263 and let us know if it connects.

Roberto Lombardi Geologo  Don’t need to be rude Sir. I didn’t put expert next to my name that is something the DL staff did for several of us which are very good at using the app and we have helped a ton of pilots. I don’t work for DL so if you want to be rude to them then I’d suggest only responding to the post which actually indicate “Dronelink Staff”. The links are provide because most don’t search or look at all the help articles or previous posts which are helpful. I would normally not respond to someone that is rude like you but after 2-1/2 years it’s getting really old. I’ll will add you to my list of pilots which I will not assist in the future. I’ll leave that to DL staff or someone who can deal with you. Ridiculous.

Jim. I do apologize but sometimes it gets frustrating spending my personal time trying to help others. First time and I’ll try to make it my last. Again sorry.

For RC-PRO it is no longer in beta so the bulk is done.

Roberto Lombardi Geologo if you were following this beta program properly, you would know that the reason it is out of beta on the RC-pro is that, that controller uses an OS based on an outdated version of Android, and that is what the SDK is written for not Android 13 which most modern devices are running on, it is because of this that modern android devices are having problems, such as the one discussed in this post, and that DJI are going to release a beta SDK which will hopefully solve these problems.

Mike (Arizona Wyldwest), well said my friend

Roberto Lombardi Geologo: Thank you for offering to help out -

In a way I'm glad all this hoopla came about as lesson learned that from now on I will store all the APK Builds on my computer in the event I need to rollback -normally should not have to as the newer builds should be less buggy than the previous ones -

I see the correct Built (263) as been uploaded - Thank you Jim for the lightning quick fix !
I will give that a try and see how it goes - Its raining here today so will try first chance I get after it stops pouring :) More to come soon !

    Probably should just run production:
