OK, so first step is actually connect to Drone not, 'start planning missions'- how? Mini 2

Iphone 12 Max Pro, iOS 16.4.1

I am assuming bluetooth, Mini 2 in pairing mode but iOS does not find device, iOS or Drone issue?

Is the drone working with DJI Fly app ? If so there is nothing else you need to do when using DL. If it is working with DJI Fly app then just go through the normal power up and connect process as usual. Once ready to go then force close the DJI App and then open DL. It should be ready to go and DL can be used to fly manually without even loading a mission. Always make sure there is no other app running in the background on device especially DJI App. So make sure all apps are force closed.

Is it possible to start the drone using Dronelink alone?

Yes. Procedure is the same regardless of app. The DL app can be used to fly manually by either pulling both sticks in and down to start the motors or you can use the auto take-off button in the DL app just like with the DJI app.

or if you've got a mission loaded, just hit the play mission button (this is how I start most of my video based missions)
