Dronelink Android app crashing when choosing Video size and settings
I've just tried setting video size and MP4 setting and the app is crashing. I have seen earlier posts on this issue. I have followed the link from an earlier post only to find the link has expired or isn't there.

Can anyone help with the problem, I'm a new user getting ready to try some great planned missions but I can't choose video size or format.

Nick, what device are you using and can you share a mission with the settings in that is crashing the app, also what version of Dronelink are you on
Hi Martin, I use a Samsung S10, Android 12,my drone is an Air 2S. I haven't actually started a mission, I had the drone connected while I tried to choose video size and format, it wouldn't accept MP4 just stuck on MOV. I'm using I think the latest Dronelink Version 4.4.1 (235).
On the forum I was looking at posts that showed a video of exactly what I was experiencing. I just tried to watch the video again but the page has expired. See below a copy from the forum a year ago.
cheers Nick Hill
Using Pixel 5 with Android 12, newest version of DroneLink app, and DJI Air 2S
When going to adjust video settings app will crash.

Hi Nick, so you're actually trying to change the settings from in the app, which dashboard, Modern or Classic, maybe Jim McAndrew can shed some light on this
Hi Martin, yes I am trying to change settings in the camera menu. I don't know which dashboard, I didn't know there was a choice so which ever is the default I suppose. I get the drop down list of video options 4K down to 1920x1200 or the likes etc. Then when I tap on one the dashboard disappears and the first screen with the list of missions is back.
cheers Nick Hill
Can you post a screenshot of the dashboard and we'll see which version it is, to change it if you go in to the hamburger menu top left, near the bottom you'll see a setting to change it
Must be using Classic Dashboard. The Modern does not have the ability to change the video Res & FR manually. For now you have two options. Just set the camera in DJI app first then force close and start DL. Or set the camera with a list in the plan so it’s all ready and this way you won’t forget to set it correctly. At least it will work until you can get it figured out.
Hi Martin I am using the classic dashboard. I tried the modern and I got a warning about sideways flying not turned on. I'll try to sort out that one.
Just enable sideways flying in DJI App. All settings stick across apps so once done you should have no issues.
Mike, thanks for the message, I have set the video size in dji fly app and dronelink does have those settings set now. It's a work around for now but the issue is still happening in Dronelink. As I mentioned above I saw a screen video capture of exactly the problem I have in the post of a year ago. I don't know if it was resolved back then. I hope someone can help me solve this problem.
Further to this topic this is copied from a reply made by Jim McAndrew the link doesn't work so I don't know if the problem was solved.
This is discussed here (point 4):

The problem has not been resolved because it was a bug in the DJI UXSDK, which DJI has since abandoned development on. Because of this, we have switched to using our own UX component (in the modern dashboard) and we will eventually remove the classic dashboard once we have 100% feature parity. Changing the video resolution is one of the few remaining settings that are left to do.
Suggest to create a few camera component lists. Very easy to do and this way you will have them in your Repos which can be inserted into any plan in a couple clicks or less. Really simple and it will save time adding many camera commands individually. All my plans are done this way so once I’m ready I just load the plan and hit start and it flys. No need for me to go through all the camera settings and manually check and set them on any plan. At my age I sometimes forget things so better for me to let the app do all the work. Just a thought for future missions. Enjoy.
Good suggestion there by Mike, lists are such a powerful commodity, and easy to use
Thanks for the update on this topic. Going by the lack of chat on this issue I'm assuming most folks don't change the video settings. Do you mostly use 4k and size it in the processing. Thanks again for the help. I await the upgrades to make the app perfect.
yeah I mostly shoot at 4K, and edit and export at the same, normally with the mini2 in auto as far as exposure is concerned, that is unless I've got an ND filter fitted, and then I set it up manually
