Review these important release notes about some limitations with recently added support for the Mini 2, Mini SE, and Air 2S.
1. Android ONLY. No iOS.
You can only use the Mini 2, Mini SE and Air 2S with Android only. DJI released an update to the Android SDK ONLY, iOS support will come in the future, although no timeline has been provided by DJI.
2. Air 2S ONLY - Smooth Gimbal Angle Movements Are Not Supported
This issue is only for the Air 2S, Mini 2 and Mini SE do not have this limitation.
Velocity-based rotation for the gimbal, such as interpolating between two markers on a path with different gimbal angles, is not supported. This is due to a bug with the DJI SDK. Once DJI patches this bug we will update Dronelink.
It is still possible to set or snap the gimbal to specific angles and yaw the drone to interpolate between different points of interest.
This bug will have the greatest impact on video waypoint path missions.
This will not cause any issues with photo based missions where the gimbal is set to a specific angle; such as a path with interval photos, mapping missions, facade missions.
3. Airdata and Dronelogbook Integration Not supported
Airdata and Dronelogbook integrations are not currently supported, since DJI changed the flight log format. This may be updated in a future release
4. Some Flight Dashboard Camera Menus Force Terminate Dronelink App
The Dronelink app may force terminate when using certain camera settings directly in the flight dashboard. For example, changing the video resolution is not possible. Dronelink recommends changing camera settings directly in the DJI app, or using automated camera commands.
Dronelink is investigating possible solutions.
