Dronelink doesn't use google maps, it uses either mapbox or "Here" maps, the only time that Dronelink has connection to google earth is when you export to google earth from the mission preview.
If your site is showing on google earth, what you can do is create a path for the mission in google earth, save it as a kml or kmz, then import that into Dronelink, you'll find an explanation in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHDxgYw3gMM&t=17s
Not sure if this will help and I Don’t know which controller you are using. If it is showing a more updated map using 3D preview you may be able to use the 3D preview and virtual drone to create a mission. Take a look and see if that will help. It takes a bit more work and may not be what your asking about but worth a shot. Good luck.

Hi thanks so much for the replies, it turned out to be the map source. It appears Mapbox is not updated as often. Once I selected HERE maps it came up updated. Thank you very much again!
Yep. Never know when any of the imagery will be updated. Most of the big companies which do the good imagery state their mapping can be anywhere from 6 months to 3 years old. Maybe in 20 years or so they can be more current. Lol…….🤪
