Repeating a waypoint mission
Is it possible to create a series of waypoints and when done fly them again, like when you create an orbit and pick how many times to fly the orbit.

Copy to clipboard and add as many of the same path as you want. It will need to fly to the same starting waypoint (destination) and run again but will work. Unless you end the last waypoint near or at the same spot.
Thanks Mike I will try. I still have not heard why DL just stopped in midflight 3 out of 6 flights. And, I thought we could not fly at night? My son recorded a tree lighting with no problems. Says he has flown at midnight???
Completely legal to fly at night as long as you have 3 Mile visibility lights.

if its a mapping component, then hit the duplicate button and set the start point of the second mapping component to the end point of the first as follows:
Original Mapping Component (click the duplicate button circled in red)
Duplicated Mapping Component (Click the red eye so as to just see the second mapping component, then drag its start point over to the end point of the original mapping component)

if you wanted/needed you could then duplicate map2 to create map3 and repeat the process.
You could also use this method on a waypoint mission, just wouldn't need to move any points as when it got to the end of the first run, the drone would return to the start and fly it again

Isn’t that what I said. Lol….🤪 I did a example plan this morning but you beat me to it Martin. 🤙🏼
No you said copy to clipboard, I was using the duplicate component button
Understood and a better way. 🤙🏼 With it in clipboard though you can create a new plan and add from there easily to start a new one. Good info though.
yet another example that shows how many different ways you can do things in Dronelink, I use it when mapping to take nadir shots, then reapeat as in the first example i gave at a different height with different camera angle
Martin the duplicate method was so easy once you know it is there. Saw your video in the follow post, what a beautiful area. Is it near where you live? I just play with mine in the small field next to me because I can just fly from my deck so it makes it easy to experiment.
Mike, as far as flying at night, I was not too concerned about the law, (though important) so much as the drone's ability to do it. From what I understand the drone's bottom sensor may not pick up the ground when landing and act erratically. A couple of years ago I was flying in the back yard when it was dark (dusk) and I flew into and area that was much darker than surrounding areas. The drone went out of control and flew into my garage door. I was flying lower than the 9 meters that the sensors function in. But wouldn't this happen when landing in the dark.
Hi Bob Scheffler, thanks for your comments about the video in the follow mode video, unfortunately I don't live near there, however a friend of mine does and its only a couple of hours drive to get up there.
Yeah that duplicate function makes things like what you were asking about really easy to do
Bob Scheffler
The drone can easily fly in the dark - GPS doesn't care about it being dark and the ground sensors will only take over if the GPS signal drops.
However, if you are flying close to a house that can block the GPS. I had that happen to me once flying low and close to my house - it went crazy and I barely got it down.
I’ve Never had any issue with landing at night. You can also turn on the bottom light or allow it to automatically turn on when it’s landing. Even the MM has downward sensors and infrared sensors so no issues.
Yeah that was about the same for me, but I was only about 6 feet off the ground. It was at dusk, house on left (shade side of house) and trees on the right, like flying into a tunnel. I crashed though, only prop damage.
So you combine a visit and drone play for a beautiful film, nice. I used to do the same when visiting my daughter. She used to live in a rural area with miles of cranberry bogs, fields and lakes. Got some great footage there.
Yeah that is what others are saying. The mini though does not have a light, I use a Firehouse strobe and put it on the steady light setting.
I’ve only flown my wife’s MM a few times during daylight. Didn’t realize it has no bottom light. I have 4 Firehouse strobes on my MA2 and are the best in my opinion. 🤙🏼
