I have not done much with the on the fly missions so I thought I would try it out. Been kinda windy around here lately so I have been limited on the amount of times I could try. I tried the checkpoint twice. The first time I was playing with it for about 10 minutes but I could not get past the second window that said "Next". I checked to make sure that my version allowed me to do it and it did so I tried again. Same thing, this time I took 2 screen shots to show what I see. I realize that the top left says "manual flight or home location not set". I thought well that explains it because when I took the screen shots I only flew for 30 seconds and did not give it time to set home. The first time I flew for at least 10 minutes so it should have created home but I can't be sure. Got too dark so I will try again tomorrow.
That’s just one of the reason I always allow DJI Fly app to fully get up and running first. Not necessary but doesn’t take any more time since satellites are already locked. You don’t need to wait again once you open DL. If it’s ready to fly with DJI then it’s ready to go with DL. 😬
That's what I was trying to do. Fly to a particular place and elevation and mark it and then fly to a different place and elevation and then combine it with, let's say an orbit.
I do not have any of those options except for SETTINGS, EXPORT, MAP LAYERS, and COPY. I created, or at least tried to create, a multiple elements mission but it did not function as I wanted. I now cannot delete that either.
It appears that Bob was trying to delete the missions out of his mission history, which is not really necessary. We had to disable that recently because people were trying to hide the fact that they were using Hobbyist accounts for Business.
I just came across this the other day as well when trying to clean out some old aborted missions. Even in Jim mode there is no way to delete an aborted or any other completed mission. As far as I remember I deleted several quite awhile ago and I believe the delete was where the three dots are with upload. Seems like something has changed. 🤙🏼
Answered that question. We had to disable that recently because people were trying to hide the fact that they were using Hobbyist accounts for Business.
Sounds like a fair thing to do. At least pilots can’t abuse it as I’m sure some did.
Mike, I believe you are right. Several months also I also deleted a bunch of missions, it was easy. Now I can't delete any, even my old missions I can't delete. It started because I tried to create a multiple mission and it was a complete failure. If I ran it I would fly right into trees. So I wanted to delete it so I do not fly it by accident and that is when I found that I could not delete it. If I try to delete it by removing waypoints or do anything I get the message, This mission will be saved as a new plan in your account to enable editing." I then can delete it but the original still stays. There has to be a way to delete missions otherwise I will have a million of them.

Bob, when you select it, like any of the on the fly components you'll get on the screen instructions/guidance

It wants you tp type in the latitude and longitude that you want to fly to (this is mostly for SAR).
So not a case of fly to a point and mark it like most of the other on the fly components
If you want to mark points you can use the Waypoints or Photos functions.

You should use Multiple Elements, and select Waypoints first, then Orbit.
Not had a play with that one yet, but that makes sense, for what Bob is trying to do
I will try the multiple elements. I created a couple missions using waypoints but I want to get rid of them and I can't figure out how to delete them.
Just open them in the web app, click on the ... menu and click delete
The only options I have there Is SETTINGS, EXPORT, MAP LAYERS, COPY. I renamed it and I could delete it but the original mission still exists.
Delete is right at the bottom
I do not have any of those options except for SETTINGS, EXPORT, MAP LAYERS, and COPY. I created, or at least tried to create, a multiple elements mission but it did not function as I wanted. I now cannot delete that either.
This is what I see.
This is what I see when I first open the missions tab. The previous picture is what I see when I open the 3 dot or menu button.
In expert mode, this is what you should see
Try it in edit mode from within the native app

Bob, that not a saved mission is a flown mission
