How to use the JobSight function?

Jacques Millett

I used the JobSight function today to test out its capability for mapping and 3D modeling but am not sure how to process the data.

I've previously used Maps Made Easy (with photographs created by Map Pilot Pro) to process images into a map, but that app wouldn't accept the images generated by my Air2s with DroneLink.

Can you recommend an app or a methodology to process this data into an "orthomosaic" type map and/or 3D image?

Thanks

I have been using the jobSight feature, in which we can create flight plans in the Android version of Dronelink.

Initially, I was amazed by this feature because it allows us to capture photos within specific areas, and we can define points at each corner based on the distance and altitude markers we set using the drone

But my disappointment arose as it didn't meet my expectations. It turned out that this feature generates quite a lot of components that I deemed unnecessary, and as a result, my drone collided with a tree due to the auto-generated circular path that went beyond the initial markers. What is the explanation from the Dronelink team or senior Dronelink users?

If you mean the video Orbit at the end, that is an optional component that can be turned on or off by answering the question at the end of the wizard. Like all mission plans, you need to verify that the flight path is safe and clear of obstacles before you fly it.
