offline use confusion
Went out to fly yesterday and the mission I wanted to fly would not load. In the past, as long as the mission was present in the list on my tablet, it would fly just fine with no network connection required. I checked before I left home and the mission was listed.
Has something changed in V4 which makes downloading for offline use necessary or is downloading for offline use just for mission editing in the field?
I am wondering what I did wrong. This was my first time flying out of network coverage with my new tablet (gen 6 ipad mini) - my previous tablet (samsung tab A) had run out of gas flying recent editions of dronelink.
Is this an IOS vs Android thing?

The process is the same as it has always been:

I've never had to manually download a plan to the device to fly it and I don't edit plans on the device, so I'm puzzled.
I'll just change my workflow, but I'm still puzzled.
By the way - 5 stars for dronelink - absolutely great.
If you ever just opened one of the plans it would have effectively downloaded it. All the download button does is pretend to open the plan without actually opening it, which causes it to be cached. Of course if you make changes after that and don't download or open it again, it won't have the most recent changes.
Thanks, we would be grateful if you left a 5-star review in the App Store! (iOS | Android)
That explains it. Yesterday when I looked at the list I did not open the plan and I usually do.
This comes in handy as well if you are using a phone that you have not activated for cell connection and strictly use it on WiFi at home, etc.
