Change back to the old UI
Is it possible to change back to the old UI? The new UI really, really sucks.
My complaints for the new UI are
- No gridlines. (This is a huge one for me, I always use the gridline to assit in my landing)
- No rotation gimbal indicator (this is bad especially when I do a pre-flight plan and I could not tell what angle I want. I will also do it during flight
Thanks for he help

Click on the hamburger menu top left and change the dashboard to classic
I only use IOS device but I believe the newer version works the same across both devices now. If using modern dashboard the gimbal pitch and drone heading in the native app needs to be enabled. Check the settings (three dots at the top ) and see if it’s on. It will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. There are other settings in that section as well. I don’t believe the camera grids lines are available in modern mode yet. You can use classic dashboard and the Gimbal pitch is indicated in the top bar. There are two ways to display the grid lines but they need to be enabled under the camera settings. Hopefully this helps and is what your looking for. Good luck.
Yes. Click on the hamburger menu top left
Then click on the dashboard dropdown and select Classic.
Barry Houldsworth, Thank you very very much. This will save me a lot of trouble.
In the latest 4.1.0 beta (220), along with a slew of other additions to the modern dashboard.
Seems like pretty harsh criticism - most of the feedback on the new UI has been overwhelmingly positive. The big win is that iOS and Android now look identical, and we have control over the code (as opposed to using DJI’s legacy UXSDK which was abandandoned and accumulating bugs on new drones). We had to make a choice to launch it at some point and we weren’t going to wait for 100% feature parity because 99% of users will get too much benefit out of switching to it already. If you look at the latest beta release, you will see we are committed to getting to 100% parity (and beyond), so hopefully you will give it another shot in the future.
FWIW, we like constructive feedback, and have a track record for listening and responding with changes / fixes, but you may want to consider using less inflamatory language - it will make your message easier to listen to :)
As Jim says, the beta version 4.1 already includes what the community is waiting for, any change brings difficulties, it's just getting used to. You can now download the beta from the official page
