Mission didn't save.
Why do missions get lost? Or do they???
On my Laptop, using webapp version 4.0.0 Kernel 4.0.0 about 2 hours ago, I created a mission, named the mission, and afterwards closed the chrome tab. Opened DL app version 4.0.0(219) app on my iPhone to validate the mission but to my suprise i couldn't find the mission in my hub. I've returned to the laptop thinking perhaps it's an instance issue but also can't find the mission. Any ideas? Is this a fluke or a bug... not sure. I'm not flagging this as a bug, because I'll need to be able to reproduce this again, or see it happening more than once... but has anyone experienced the same, or am alone on this one. Can a mission fail to save? How do we know a mission is saved?

Never had anything like that happen here, have you checked in all your repositories
I'm confused, or maybe I'm missing something simple.
Where did you get a web app for your computer? Using my browser I just type in dronelink.com to get to Dronelink where I create and save my missions. I then use the dronelink app for my phone. I need to be logged in for both locations.
Your browser is running a JavaScript app.
I’ve had a few new plans over the last couple of years not save after closing. Not sure why but rarely happens. If this continues to happen then I’d suggest clearing the browsing history and cache to see if it works. I’ve gotten used to checking the plan before getting to involved to see if it saves so I don’t need to redo any parts I created or changed. As I stated it has rarely happened and not sure why. I use my iPad about 99% of the time due to my older PC lagging badly and tales too long to build a mission. So whether it’s a PC/ Lap Top or portable smart device it appears it can happen. I use Firefox the majority of time. If it is a a DL sever issue which just randomly happens at the time you save it is anyone guess.
Martin Reading I checked all the repositories. It was a named mission and its certainly not in my current list. I also found that my I've got elite, growth, starter profiles showing on different devices, so investigating, albeit this happening on the web portal and not the smartphones.
@Mike (Arizona Wyldwest) I've done that and monitoring to see if there is a repeat.
My on the fly missions wont save. Using my Air2s I created a mission, AND FLEW IT but searching later on, it had not saved. What's the use of this app if the otf missions font save? Same happens when using Mini2 so my upgrade plan has been dumped. The instructional video says it DOES SAVE and you can use the mission again with different drones. NOT SO!
Royjudge, in the on the fly menu there are 2 categories, modes (red) that don't save when flown, Mission plans (Blue) that do save when flown
After flying one of the blue on the fly missions, the flown mission can be seen in the app by clicking on the mission button in the main menu, green missions are successful, and grey aborted
These missions can also be accessed and viewed in the web app from the main menu missions button
When opened in the web app, the flown mission can then be saved in a repository as a mission plan by clicking the save as button
99% of the time, when a mission doesn't save it is because the browser is running slow / running out of memory. Closing other tabs or refreshing the page (F5) is the best course of action.
Mike - yes I see my onthefly missions I created ARE saved on the web kit, but it is unfortunate that I don't fly from the web version; I usually fly on the mobile app and they don't show up there. How do I fly a repeat mission using the web app? And how do I then maintain VLOS as my PCs are indoors? Will a spotter do,,....but then agani he/she won't be alongside me which. I believe, is a requirement.
Jims statement above is incorrect as I have tried my 2GB browser connection and my 4g mobile data connection and the missions do not show up. (Just knew it'd be my fault)
I was about to upgrade my drone link account Jim, but if I can't recall my missions set onthefly, then dronelink is no good to me is it? I have to use onthefly as my work is all about filming building projects and the progress they are making and its strange that these buildings are not showing on the map
Royjudge, once you've flown them,m save them when you get back to the office using the web app, then next time you're out in the field they will be available on the native mobile app
Martin
Tried it as you suggest and I had to save the mission in my Depositary, as I call it and yes it did work.
BUT
Why is that detail not in the instructional video and why is Jim too quick to point the finger at the customer?
Not everyone is a drone expert. Yet. Thanks for your help Martin.

Not pointing any fingers, just trying to help :(
I am please, nay, over the moon, that this now works and I can report the same mission was flown with my DJI Mini 2 which was created with an Air2s and saved with the web kit to my repository.
Thanks Martin...you have saved Jim on this one.
I will experiment more in the days to come,

Royjudge, glad to hear you are all sorted
