To high waypoint - stops mission
During a waypoint the 1st waypoint a it supposed to climb to 380 and say "mission stopped". The drone DJI setting in safety section is 396ft. My other waypoint missions work fine. All below 200ft.
What am I missing?

Try bringing it down a bit, say 370 and see what happens
Was it a horizontal error or an altitude error?
You can adjust the tolerances to allow it to be more off course without stopping. If it's an altitude error you could slow down the rate of climb so it can better stay on course. Wind can be an issue for horizontal errors.
If you know the error you could manually move the drone to where you think it should be and then attempt resume. I've done that and it takes careful multiple attempts to resume.
I'm going to do that tomorrow. It's done this on different missions, always windy. But it was only max 12mph wind today.
In your plan setting check the motion error tolerance. You can make the distance and altitude tolerances larger so it is allowed off course more before off course error.
If the error happens the same place every time, then a good place to start is the slow down the flight there ore don't make the ascent or descent so steep. Once you understand what is happening and all the adjustments you can make it should work. It will take trial and error as you learn how all the movements work together.
Change the Max altitude higher and try. Drones accuracy can be off as much as 4m + or - and maybe it’s a reason. If still an issue then I’d refresh firmware and delete and reinstall DJI app. I had this happen about a year ago and it would not go above 400’ using DJI or DL app. The setting was at Max limit of 1640 feet. After I went through everything it has worked fine ever since. I run missions in a forest area which the elevation goes up to anywhere from 500 to 700 feet from take-off location while maintaining 65 to 85 foot AGL altitude. Only happened once and since then it’s been fine. Maybe give it a try if other suggestions don’t work. Technology is great but sometimes strange things happen. Good luck.
Yup, same here pretty much... I don't know if a plan can be corrupted somewhere behind the scenes or what. I made 3 new test plans to see how rotation rate affects things. Aside from having that all wrong, (still a mystery), altitude went back to 387ft and my speed was behaving as it should. I didn't do all the things you did though (that would have been my next step) so for both of us this seems to still be a mystery because we both ended up with the same results. I HATE DRONE MYSTERIES! I have a good deal of anxiety seeing that I have a wedding coming up. I hope it's not bugs! Will keep you posted if it happens again.
Yes, it’s the mysterious Murphy’s Law. Lol…. Best of luck. 😬
I’d suggest going through all of it and refreshing the firmware on both drone and controller. Then calibrate the IMU and compass and even delete the DJI Fly app and reinstall it. Can’t hurt and doesn’t take that long. I have seem many post with many different issue on forums and drone groups over the last couple of years. DJI always advises to go through everything when having issues and It may be an easy fix so it doesn’t happen again. Good luck and hope for the best.
