Features that can produce better orthophotos and 3D models
Hi,
Can I recommend a few feature adjustments which might lead to better photogrammetry?
1. The time interval between taking photos is currently set at 2 seconds by default, and can be changed to 1 second minimum. However, if that variable can be set as 0.1 ~ 0.3 second, dronelink can take a lot more photos with a lot more overlapping regions. As we know from digital photogrametry, the more look angles on a ground object, the best accuracy we can have through bundle adjustment. Given that during daytime the shutter speed is usually 1/1000 second or even faster, and that the write speed of data to the TF card is super fast, the 1 second interval between photos seems a waste of usable resources.
2. The map missions currently do not take any photo when the drone is flying on the boundary of the flying site. Only when the drone is flying the internal grid does dronelink operate the shutter. This is particularly bad because the boundary photos are very important to retain and can significant improve the quality of orthophotos and digital surface models.
3. Three is a charm, but maybe I'm pushing my luck too far. I wish that during flight, dronelink could take photos with multiple view angles. For example, the first photo with angle A, the second photo with angle B, the third photo with angle C, the fourth photo with angle A, the fifth photo with angle D, etc.
I really do not mind if dronelink charges additional for the feature above. We all work for the best product possible. With better product comes a pricier tag. Thanks for considering these requests.

Ok my thoughts on the above:
The DJI SDK doesn't even allow it.
