Dronelink & Samsung Galaxy Z Fold phones
Ok I'm very fortunate in that I have a Z fold 2, and was playing around earlier on and thought I'd have a look and see what dronelink looked like with the Z fold 2 in portrait mode, and actually liked what i saw, as you end up with the top of the screen being the video feed, and the bottom as the map, I've not tried flying with it yet (I normally fly using my tab s7 fe 5g), but maybe give it a go later

Yep. I’ve used it that way with my iPad. iPhone is the same but so small that don’t use it. I believe most devices should work that way.
Hi Martin, did you ever manage to get Dronelink to display the camera feed full screen on the z fold?
In landscape mode yes it displays full screen, I'd never fly with it in portrait mode
Ahhh I see, thank you! I'm trying to run it on a z fold 4 with a mini 3 but can't get it to connect. Is there a specific build of Dronelink that you found worked?
I'm flying mini2 so on a different SDK (MSDK4), and have never had problems connecting, however with the mini3 you're using Dronelink-DJI which uses MSDK5 which is actually written for an older Android version and is causing crashes for devices using up to date Android versions, however all is not lost as they are releasing a newer version of MSDK5 which should solve these problems
Ok good to know, I'm still in the early stages of researching all this so thank you! Do you know if there is a release schedule for the MSDK5 update that has been announced? Or do you know if we're talking days / weeks / months etc?
I'm just trying to avoid caving and resorting to DJI fly! :)
Soff, I'm just going off this post from Jim from a couple of days ago
