Adding a takeoff restriction to a saved path opened as a new mission?

Steven Cockrill

I've extracted a path from a mission and opened it in the mission editor which has provided the same takeoff location which is fab, I'm guessing this is part of the import process. I can't however see a dialogue to then add a takeoff restriction.

If I create a blank mission and import the path it doesn't of course appear at its original coordinates which would be preferred.

Is this because the imported path isn't actually a mission?

Just wondering if I've missed a trick? Thanks.

Click on the 3 dots to get into settings - then use the drop-down for take-off restriction.

Hi, this is what I get opening this path from the repository. Just curious how far the path is auto converted to a plan. The warning concerns the AGL settings,

    Issue 1
    Danger

Ground elevations used without a takeoff takeoff restriction. Taking off from a different location could result in an unsafe altitude offset.

Recommendation: Set the Plan Takeoff Restriction to a specific area.

but there appears no way to rectify it from this settings dialogue.

Follow the instructions I already posted - just click on the three dots highlighted.  What you are showing is not the mission settings.

You appear to be editing that Path as a separate component. You need to include it in a mission plan to set a takeoff location.

Thanks for the replies, I thought that was probably the reason. It would be useful to be able import the path at the same location, but not a big deal.

Steven Cockrill to save a flown mission as a mission that you can edit follow these steps:

in your home screen click on the aircraft icon

    Choose the successfully flown mission

This will open the mission in the mission planner, click save as in the bottom right hand corner, once you've done this you can do whatever you like with it
