DJI Air 2S Yaw rotation speed / smoothness
Hi,
I'm new to dronelink...but so far am really impressed. Great peace of software so far.
Today I took a video at the beginning I'm using a curved path with a POI. So far so good. I set the speed to 12km/h later on to 14. The preview looks very smooth but out there I recorded the video and it resulted very shaky. Flying the curved path the drone performed some hectic yaw rotations and this doesn't look professional at all.
So my question for you how can I achieve a video flying a curved path with a POI. Any missing setting? I saw in the plan preferences that the rotation rate can be configured whatever this means but there are no more parameters like h or v acceleration.
Help is much appreciated.

You settings, flight conditions, and weather conditions are unknown.
If you post a light to your flight plan we can look at your details to find the issue. It could also be part of your Air 2s settings.

Hi David,
totally forgot to provide the mission link

Some weeks ago I shot a video and the yaw rotation was quite smooth. Don't know what’s the issue now. Weather conditions were okay little wind and sunny. I used C-mode.
Thanks
P.S.: I changed one thing setting the rotation rate to 27°
It's hard to tell without seeing jerky video. Exactly where is the jerkiness occurring? What video resolution and you using and what video app are you using to view the downloaded video file? Is the jerkiness due to the playing the video or was it recorded jerky?
If its with the first POI you could try slower forward speed.
Sure understood. I've uploaded the original video here: https://we.tl/t-62rKIpSkIm
I'm watching the video natively on my Mac. I got a MacBook Pro M1 max so I guess powerful enough. Speed was set at 12km/h which is roughly 7.5mph...so everything else than fast. The path is starting at 00:12. You can see the drone flying a smooth curve but inbetween you'll notice some hectic yaw rotations.
If full 4K uncompressed from an internet site the download speed would not be adequate to see the true video quality. Furthermore, the site requires special user agreement to use.
Did you record as 4K, 5.4K, or 1080p? Did you notice an jerkiness on the screen while recording?
Please read the article I linked, and the associated thread in the article.
Hey Jim,
I already read the article but not the thread which I did now. Quite interesting and makes sense. Which settings could I adjust to test if they work out fine? I've seen the rotation mode and the engagement parameters in the thread but they aren't available in my dronelink version. I purchased an elite account. Maybe you could give me a hint what to test which parameters to tweak and I'll perform some thorough testing and feedback.
Many thanks for the insight.
Manuel, make sure you're in expert mode, to do this click on the hamburger menu, top left and you'll see the mode selector in there
Martin Reading maybe I'm too stupid but that's all I can see in plan settings see screenshot. Am I doing something wrong?
The reason I added the settings was to prove, once and for all, that the conclusion of the other thread is correct: the jerkiness is due to the DJI algorithms onboard, not because of the Dronelink code. Other users have already extensively tested these settings and come to the same conclusion, but if you want to devote time to it, you can find the settings by enabling Jim mode (click the version number in the main menu 7 times).
Hey Jim, I've no doubt that it's related to the DJI firmware. Hopefully they'll fix it soon. Meanwhile I wanted to play with the parameters maybe I could find an acceptable workaround.
Many thanks for such prolific and quick help.
