You could try to set it to private...

of course I've set to private.
even renaming and deleting the project doesn't change the public entry.
after deleting, creating a new repository and creating a new plan it is still shown on a new location at take off of the new plan.
Can you provide a screenshot showing what you mean
The explore page is powered by a separate index that can take up to 24 hours to refresh. If it is still there tomorrow please send a link to the specific repository and I can take a look.

the public entry sometimes changes to another take off point of private plan.
after a couple of days there is still a public information about a plan that doesn't exist anymore (My First Project).

There appears to be an issue preventing the cache from removing the deletions which is also affecting the load performance of the page in general. We are investigating possible solutions, and the issues will be corrected in the next release (in a few weeks) or the map will either be temporarily disabled if we don't find a solution in time. Apologies for any inconvenience.
