Native App and Web App difference

Ruggero Aebi

Hi
I noticed that after the latest BETA update of the native app, a lot of new things have been added to mission creation. For example, you can now tap the waypoint and a new window will open where various path actions and much more can be entered. When I open this plan in the web app on the Mac, none of these options are available as they are in the smartphone app. Is this intentional?

This is what Beta is for, to test new stuff. I’ve been using that layout/ style for awhile. I believe it will be eventually implemented after testing, feedback etc. If you don’t want to use this then just use production version. I like it because it makes helps to add functions easier then right clicking mouse or pressing down on the screen to bring up the list.

The current beta web app url is here, which is what the current native beta app is pointing to.

As for options that were previously available, they may either be renamed, or put under expert mode, which can be accessed via the app main menu (hamburger button in the top left). We are still preparing docs on all of this as stated here.

Many thanks Jim for the info with the web app BETA!
Well, I asked here, otherwise I wouldn't know.
How do I know when a new web app BETA is released?
On the iPhone this is done via "TestFlight"
    Thanks!

How do I know when a new web app BETA is released?

The same as with the normal web app, you get a message at the bottom of the screen that a new version is availble and you need to hit refresh to get it
