DJI RC new (color display included)

I could not find relevant information about this remote controller. I know it contains preistalled DJI Fly application, but I haven' find information if it was possible to install any other application like DroneLink native application. Does anybody have reliable information?

If you mean the RC Pro, it is not supported, per our system requirements page.

O.K. I saw it. I believe you have deeper information about RC Pro software stucture. My question is theoretical: does RC Pro use target software that only knows DJI Fly functions, or is the device's operating system IOS or Android operating system, which may allow it to store and run other applications in the future? In this case, if not in the near future, there may be hope that the native DroneLink application may run on it at some point in the future.

The DJI SDK doesn't support it, we don't have one, and honestly given how bad the previous smart controller was, we may not even bother even if the DJI SDK supports it. Just use a modern android device that can be upgraded year to year if you plan to use DL.

Jim McAndrew You mentioned an upgradeable Android tablet, but what about connecting to the RC Pro controller from an iPad Pro? Can you send missions to the RC Pro and then to the drone that way? Sorry, still getting my head around how this stuff works.

We don’t have one so we don’t know.
