Mini 3 integration to Dronelink

Dear Jim,

I think lot of Dronelink users are exiting about the new Mini 3. I think you probably contacted to DJI regarding the SDK for it. Do you have any information or estimation when DJI will release SDK and when it will be integrated to Dronelink or we are again in the hands of God and DJI?

Ummm... thier software is still in beta so I doubt they are going to released their SDK anytime soon. The last time they release their SDK for Mini 2 was one year after the Mini 2 launch. We should be expecting the same Mini 3

As stated above, don’t expect anytime soon. A year maybe a bit less if lucky the way DJI has been working. I Always suggest looking directly at the source since DL can’t do anything until DJI does. Enjoy….

Yep. Seems like nobody sees the “please read first before posting.” Just an idea Jim, maybe change the text color to bright Red and make the fonts about three times bigger. If possible others may pay more attention to it. 😁

Won't work. I might just start deleting posts.

Mike, believe me I have read “please read first before posting.” article. Of course, I know about the history of the past release of the new DJI products - and the release of the corresponding SDK. I do not know, however, that this has not changed. Hope dies last. Sorry to bother anyone with this simple question!

Hey Gabor. These comments are not just about your post so please don’t take to wrong. It’s a general issue all around from many others too. There was a post about 3 weeks ago specifically about the Mini 3 Pro. But it’s not just that drone. Every time a new drone comes out many ask the same question. There is info on the Dronelinks help pages and you can sign up for product updates and be notified if you wish. Enjoy Sir and best wishes.

Also if you check that link to the DJI Developer website it will give an estimated release date once they are ready. Usually posts the releases about 4 to 8 weeks prior to the actual release date. Until then it’s anyones guess. Once again, enjoy…

Also, a point to consider, the new controller with the built in screen than comes with the mini 3 does not allow 3rd party apps to be installed.

Did DJI drop IOS support for the SDK as far as the mini 3 is concerned or is are we just waiting for release of IOS support?

    Dear All,

Probably my English knowledge is not good enough to clearly understand what this statement means regarding DJI MSDK for iOS. Does it mean that DJI will develop their SDK for Android and they will just maintain the existing iOS SDK (without Mini 3 line) and they will not develop any SDK for iOS for the new DJI products coming in the future? If that's true, it's pretty depressing!

It means they have given up adding new drone support to iOS.

All we can do is make sure that DJI is aware of the potential impact to them of not producing the IOS version. For me it means looking at another maker's drone as an upgrade from my original mini. Having used Dronelink for a while, I can't see myself being without it.
