Temeletry delayed does not let me execute my flight plan

Carlos Meza

I have been trying some times to get done my flight plan and it suddenly shows an error "telemetry delayed". The distance when it got fail is when the drone is like 500 m of distance from the RC. Help!

Looks like using M2. Which device and DL version ? There are a ton of post on this issue. I’d suggest search and see what issue it may be. Usually an issue with a clear transmission if at a distance away and any interference. Looks like the farthest distance is approx 1/2 mile, (2,500 feet) and in that Urban environment there could be interference. The Device may be the issues as well.

Over the last year it’s only happened maybe two or three times. When it did those few times I just waited for about 10 seconds or so while the mission was paused then hit resume. Always continued the mission without further problems. Check the link.

I used the DJI Mini 2 and Iphone SE 2020. It did not let pause the mission because once appears in the display the telemetry delayed, the drone got disconected and RPC started inmediatly. Once on the ground, i did not abort the mission and tried again, and happend the same.

In my opinion that is not that far, but there is an peak of a hill near the point in which suddenly appeared the telemetry delayed alert. I was like 500 meter far from that.

Ok. Normally when the telemetry error pops up it automatically pauses the mission. If it disconnected then sounds like an interference issues. Doesn’t matter if it’s 500m or 250m. Just because it has Ocusync and overall great connection over distances doesn’t mean it can’t have interference and lose connection between drone and controller. Even if it indicates all signal bars there can still be interference in the signal and something in that area is more then likely causing an issue. Do you know what the signal strength was ? It may have been that hill blocking the signal or another possible reason. The app will not disconnect the drone. The connection is between the controller and drone which means it went into RTH because it lost the connection and the app is just reporting the problem.

Can you find a more rural and open area to test run the mission and see if it works. I’d run your mission here but winds are 25 to 40 mph next couple days.

Here are more links with info. A ton of them already posted.
