Map Component?

Scott

This program is really frustrating and a steep learning curve.  I've used it to make maps the first several days, they did ok but had some terrain following issues which thankfully others helped me to understand. I made a bunch of other map missions, not a single one worked. Waypoint issues, or would  launch and the drone would climb to altitude and then just sit there.

Today I've made maps the same exact way I did the first several times and now it says "the mission is empty, try adding some components before previewing."  It's so frustrating, I did everything the same. Can someone take a look at this mission and tell me what I am doing wrong?

When I place a new map it will allow me to do a 3D render and preview. If I rotate the map tracks 90 degrees, add terrain following and lower the altitude to 135, it then says I don't have any components. I haven't changed anything else.

The link below is the mission I planned, but not the modified version. I see the map stretched out and modified and this direct view only link makes it look like a newly placed map. Its maddening, seriously.

Thanks in advance, here is the mission...

The plan looks fine to me. It sounds like your mobile device is struggling. I did a quick google search and it says the chip is from 2017, and it was mid even back then much less almost 10 years later. Have you tried a device that has more power?

Jim covered the device performance issue with a 10 year old device. If you look at the Dronelink support article regarding minimum requirements the device should be a newer hardware device which has been released within the last year or two.

The issue with the app indicating you have no components is very rare and may be do to the device. It has happened to me over a 5 year period with a ton of plans and missions flown only a few times. What I do is clear everything out of the browser like, cache, browsing history, cookies, tracking protection, offline data and so on. Absolutely everything. Then close browser and completely power down device. Reboot your router, power on the device and try again. Also be aware when using the Web app you can use any capable PC, Laptop, iPad/ Tablet or Phone. It will work across multiple platforms and is lot easier using a larger screen. Does the preview work when using a PC or other device ?
