Why is Dronelink sluggish and not responsive on DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise controller for Matrice 4T drone
I'm new to Dronelink. I installed Dronelink on my DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise controller for my Matrice 4T drone. For the limit time I've used it, it seems to work, however it appears to run very sluggishly on my controller. I followed the tutorials to install Dronelink, disable the DJI controller application, and to test with the confetti. The confetti is not smooth and freezes a few times, but it does finish. When setting up on the fly missions on the controller, while inuting parameters on each step, it seems to lock up or become unresponsive. I've also notices, that in my spirals, if I try to se tthe speed to about 10 MPH or more, the drone camera does not stay on the target, as it severaly does not rotate along with the orbit speed at the correct rate.
So, am I doing something wrong, or do these symptoms indicate a problem?

I think there is something wrong with your RC Plus 2.
I just tested the confetti on the one for my Matrice 4 and it's smooth with no freezing at all.
I would look to see if you have something running in the background that is slowing the device down - do you have other apps installed that could be running?
So, something I just noticed, is that with the drone disconnected the confetti animation runs smoothly. When the drone is connected the confetti freezes to where I only see about 2 still frames of the confetti animation, and the mission set up controls are not very responsive.
In the tutorial, it looks like the drone is connected during the initial set up at confetti test.
I have gone into Settings and force stopped DJI Pilot 2 and reconfirmed that it's not auto starting several times. I've also force stopped the Gallery.
I haven't insalled any other apps except Dronelink DJI.
Here's a list of apps that show up in settings; DJI Pilot 2, Dronelink DJI, Files, Firefox, Gallery, Gboard, Quickstep, Settings, Tips, and Wireless emergency alerts.
Hi Frank French
That is interesting. I haven't actually used Dronelink with the RC Plus 2 yet - but I did just go and test with the drone connected as you mentioned and I concur that once the drone is connected the confetti is jerky and slow. Very interesting.

Might be something to look into - let me know if I can help.
Jim McAndrew - Yes Jim, that would be helpful. Keep in mind, I'm a totally new to Dronelink, so I'm not accustomed to it usuall performance, but as I mentioned, when doing orbits at speeds around 10 MPH, the rotation of the dron would not keep up, so at point the camera was allmost pointing 180 degrees away from the center target, and or corse the orbit was awkward and more eliptical. I'm not sure if I should atribute that to dronelinke running poorly, or if that's outside of it's normal operating parameters.
How big are the orbits, and what rotation rate have you got set
Hi Frank,
Not normal behavior, but it would be helpful if you could share the mission.
You can see how to share the mission here: https://youtu.be/o1kU5mqx1TI?si=TJ2Lfc8yu9pbGpZQ
Barry, is the confetti slow on the M3E controller, or just the M4?
Jim McAndrew
Just the M4 - works fine on the M3E (just tested it to confirm).
