Google Maps Not displaying on Mavic Controller
Ive planned a mission on the web app using the Google Maps Layer, however when I open the mission on the Mavic 3E controller it defaults to the Mapbox map which is out by about 10m in this area.
Is there any way to have the mission default to Google maps on the controller or do I need to plan the mission in Mapbox? I use a geo reference point in the mission to line it up with the map, however in the mapbox version this is also off by about 10m.
When I edit the mission on the Mavic controller it uses Google maps, however on running the mission it always defaults to mapbox. Am I missing something or a setting somewhere?
Cheers,

Sounds as though you need to update the version of Dronelink you have on the controller
Hi Martin, thanks for replying.
I have done an update last week for the controller and at the moment it isn't coming up with any updates available....
I can try redoing the latest update to see if that fixes the issue, but wasn't sure if it was just me, or if others have noticed this at all.
Cheers,
Ive just redownloaded the latest version with the same results.
Im currently running Version 5.3.0 (316)
Any other ideas?
Cheers,
Where did you download it, the only place to get upto date versions is Dronelink itself as explained in the article linked below
https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/50274824976659-Why-is-the-Google-Play-store-no-longer-supporting-the-latest-Dronelink-app
IF you are referring to the mini-map in the flight dashboard, that is still Mapbox only right now. For this update we only focused on getting google maps for the editing experience (where details are more important).
Thanks Jim, yes its the mini map on the controller that I was talkng about.
Is there a plan to update this map to google as well? we quite often use the georeferencing function to align the map to the current drone position. when planning the mission in google maps the point is then off in mapbox so it makes it difficult in some instances to be sure you are over the same spot.
Cheers,
It is on the list but don't have a timeline yet. For geo-referencing, isn't the idea to use a recognizable land-mark (like a man-hole cover) in the real world, so you should be looking for that from the drone's fpv, not by aligning the drone icon on the map in the app?
