Had a quick look last night, created a quick waypoints mission in it, and on screen it looks good, need to fly it, but need decent weather, will keep you posted
If you're going to fly it, make sure you're on the latest beta of the mobile app as well.
Since it’s in Beta I’m sure there are many things you will be fixing. A couple things I’ll mentioned incase you weren’t aware. When creating a waypoints plan I cannot add any waypoints by clicking on the + to add a waypoint. I can hold down on the + and drag it a bit like when creating a DJI Waypoints plan and it will add one. Can’t add a path marker anywhere on the path. Cannot click on waypoint to add, edit any function. I am using my IPad so it may be different when using a device with a keyboard & mouse. Good work as always Jim. 👍🏼
Mike, I was looking at it on my pc last night and added waypoints without any problem, I'll post a screenshot later when I'm back home.
Jim, I'll check what version my tablet is on and check that's the latest beta with you, weather's not looking good for a few days yet
Mike (Arizona Wyldwest), Just tried adding path actions, no trouble here on PC using Waterfox (see screenshot below)
Jim McAndrew is 5.2.3(312) the latest beta
Martin. I suspect it is due to me using my iPad. Touch screen vs. mouse. All of the functions I mentioned work with the regular Web application just not with the Beta version. I’m sure it will get sorted out.
I noticed when the plan is unlocked I cannot select anything like a waypoint, path marker or the center pin but, if I lock it then I can select them. Still cannot add a path marker. I did try with a mouse connected to my iPad but still doesn’t work using Firefox. I Tried with Chrome as well. As I mentioned there may be a difference with other devices like a PC, Laptop or Touch screen like an iPad. Also when I select the location icon it will move to the location but doesn’t zoom in.
I did try just switching to Mapbox and everything works so it is due to the Google map. As I said, I’m sure it will eventually get sorted out.
Can you reload and see if it works now?
Mike, I can confirm your initial findings using my Z fold 7 and Waterfox
I'm on my tab 9fe,i can add and edit waypoints, however I can't add path markers
If I open in the app editor, Google maps isn't an option therefore I assume the terrain follow won't fly as such
Waterfox
App
The web app url that is embedded in the mobile app still points to production (not the beta url) so if you want to test terrain follow you have to just use the browser. The app should fly it correctly.
Cheers for that Jim, what's the latest beta 👍
You can get 313 from google drive right now, app stores still waiting for approval. I'm uploading a new version of the web beta right now as well that fixes a few more of the map interaction issues.
Playing with the map feature and noticed a couple of things.
1. If I switch from Google to Mapbox the scale is totally different - Mapbox is much more zoomed in
2. If I try to switch to Here - I just get a blank screen.
I'll post I as find things (if I find things).
As Barry said, the same issue with the location not zooming in as I mentioned. Not a big deal just an observation. Also getting a white screen with Here map as well which does have the path just no map. With the Google map in the bottom right corner the other icons to zoom in or out and the compass icon is not present like with the other maps.
I just tried with the newer version Jim mentioned and now I can select a waypoints, path marker, center pin and even add a path marker. I’ll try other stuff to see if any other issues which may need to be addressed. Good work. 👍🏼
Can confirm the missing zoom controls
if you rotate or transform a set of waypoints, the original remains, in the example below the originalis the one with point "A" on the path junction, the actual flown set is the one with the point "A" at the top
Hey Martin. If I’m understanding you correctly when you rotate the path it duplicates it. Is this what you mean ? Trying to see if I can reproduce it.
Maybe a screen recording? I wasn't able to reproduce.
I'll check again when I get home, was on the pc.
Mile, it didn't actually duplicate the waypoints, just left the original path on screen
Ok. I tried and no issue. It may have been the browser needing to be refreshed.
Yeah, I've tried again both on phone and PC and haven't been able to replicate it myself, so I think just put it down as one of those oddities
Went out for a test flight this morning, had a quick look at the video files when I got home in telemetry overlay, and looks good, I'll be creating a comparison video later, further details when I post it 👍
The HERE maps will work once we push it all to production.
The zoom across providers should be fixed.
So this morning, I got out with the drone and did a couple of brief test flights, the first one i flew was using the terrain follow, the second one was the same flight but just with AGL, I cut this second flight short as I wasn't 100% that I was going to clear the top of the spoil heap LOL, so here's a brief video comparing the flights

Interesting. What software are you using to do the telemetry overlay?
It's not public yet - I'll hold off until it is in production, but this is a video I was going to post covering the additional of Google Maps. https://vimeo.com/1167894775/70def7ce59?share=copy&fl=sv&fe=ci
I'll probably do a separate one covering terrain follow.
Hi & thanks Barry Houldsworth, its a Piece of software called Telemetry Overlay, I'll take a look at yours shortly
Just tested and it still doesn’t zoom in when I click the location icon. It does move to the plan location but not zoomed in. Not a big deal and I’m sure it will get corrected. Tried some other functions and everything seems good. Nice work DL team. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
No problem with location icon here Mike, zooms straight in here

It should zoom in now.
