AGL terrain following
Hi,
I am a non government organization for scientific purposes in environment consideration.
I have several question.
1/ Terrain following during mission survey
* Is it possible with a Matrice 3E to get a terrain follow (AGL) between 10 and 30m during a mission plan ? If yes do I need to use the dronelink solution without downloading a DSM file (Digital Surface Model).
* Do you get the Mavic Mini 5 pro solution with bdronelink and terrain following
2/ Cost for terrain following and photogrammetry project (take pictures onto a map)
What is the pricing to get the solution for 1 and 2 ?

Hi Jean. Answer to the Mini 5 drone question is it does not have DJI SDK support at this time so it will not work with the DL mobile app. However, you can create a plan in their Web app and then it can be converted to a DJI waypoints plan and then the KMZ file can be exported into the DJI Fly app to fly a DJI waypoints mission. Normal and Grid pattern Mapping, Waypoints path and Orbits are supported at this time and can be flown with the DJI Fly app. DJI Waypoints does have limitations but overall the three components can be flown and works well.
As far as the Matrice 3E, all the Enterprise series drones require a Professional Growth plan subscription as indicated in their pricing structure. Check the pricing and it will indicate what features are included and list a ton of advanced planning and features. As indicated with the Mapping component Terrain Follow/AGL is included. Terrain Follow with mapping continuously maintains the Above Ground altitude during the entire mission using the World ESRI data for elevations. Links for more info below.

So, if my understand is correct with the DJI Mini 5 pro :
* I need to download the APP onto the Laptop for mission set-up
* I will export the KMZ to the DJI pilot soft
* In term of pricing I can go with the PREMIUM if I do not need to have the AGL Terrain follow
* If I want to have a AGL terrain follow I need to go to the ENTERPRISE pricing STARTER for example and I can pay monthly for example ?
* Pictures with DL solution : did the drone is making a stop at each point or is it a on the fly solution for photogrammetry solution ?
* On ground mission set-up : I think I need a internet connection onto the lap top if I want to modify and/or set-up a mission directly on ground and not from office ?

Mike… I appreciated your Mini 5 Pro workaround without an IOS SDK from DJI. I just purchased one for my fleet.
But, everything I have read about workarounds apply to android platforms.
Does the workaround that you recommend apply to IOS platforms upon which my business depends? Thx!
