Export map to RC2

Sean Williams

Hello,

Using Dronelink, I have created a map of an area for my DJI Mini 5 Pro to photograph and create an orthomosaic. However, I am having trouble finding an option to export this map as a .kmz file to my computer so I can upload it to my RC2. I have a Premium plan.

I found the thread below thread on the subject, which suggests this feature is not currently supported. Is that right?

Thank you for the assistance.

This video shows how to do it https://youtu.be/Uuk21sVoZRo

Also I would suggest using the Maven Bridge tool to make the transfer easier.

In the comments under that video, the OP seems to say that this technique *won't* work with the RC2. Does anyone know for sure? I would instantly upgrade my account to Expert if I had any hope I could then export to RC2+Mini 5 Pro.

YouTube OP says "The RC 2 controller does not allow 3rd party apps so if you need to buy the other controller for that." Does this mean that you can't even copy KMZ's *created* by 3rd-party apps?

I may have misunderstood the question.

Are you trying to export a map to the controller, or are you trying to plan a mapping job and load that on to the RC2 to run it?

If you are trying to to export a mapping job, the link I sent will work even on an Mini 5 Pro since all you are doing is creating a waypoint file which the Mini 5 will happily run.

If you are trying to load an actual map into the controller for some reason, that won't work.
