Gimbal Keeps Reverting to Default Position During Orbit Mission
Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with gimbal control during automated flights and I’m hoping someone can help.
When I plan an orbit mission in DroneLink, the app automatically sets a gimbal orientation, which I guess is based on the altitude and the radius of the orbit. That seems normal to me — I understand the software needs to assign an initial orientation. However, in my case, I only know the path I want the drone to fly, but I don’t know in advance where I want the camera to point; I decide that in real time, while I’m flying.
The problem is that when I try to manually move the gimbal during the flight to frame the shot the way I want, the gimbal automatically and slowly returns to the default position that DroneLink set during the mission planification. I don’t want the drone to point at any specific target — I want the gimbal to be completely free and stay exactly where I manually set it during the flight.
I also want to highlight that I haven’t enabled any additional gimbal parameters, such as Add Gimbal Orientation or a Point Of Interest with a height offset.
Does anyone know how I can disable this automatic gimbal control so I can move it freely during the mission?
Here on the preview is where I noticed that there was a gimbal command that I did not set and which I guessed its set automatically depending on the orbit parameters.

Thanks in advance.

Not supported when planning with the Orbit component, but if you use on-the-fly Orbit mode, it will let you: https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/13516181001235-Orbit-Mode-On-the-Fly-Continuously-fly-orbits-or-arcs-around-a-POI-and-adjust-orbit-real-time-using-the-RC-sticks
